PSM was called in as prime consultant on an “emergency” basis, to complete seismic upgrade work that was inadvertently omitted in Tenant Improvement design.
Using ASCE 41, we determined load paths and appropriate shear wall and drag connection elements to provide a Life Safety upgrade to this multi-tenant facility.
This building was partially occupied during our upgrade project, including sensitive areas for child development therapy and consultation. Additionally, recent tenant improvement had been completed in some areas. These factors necessitated careful planning and coordination during the design and construction phases.
PSM provided complete design, permitting, cost estimating, and construction administration for this important upgrade.
