DARIGOLD MILK DRYER FACILITY RECONSTRUCTION

This fire-damaged enclosure for a food processing facility was rebuilt and extended in height from 70 feet to over 150 feet. BIM models, including multiple design packages from equipment suppliers, were integrated and this was an important part of construction coordination, because of extremely tight clearances. PSM designed the rebuilt facility to be supported on the original building footprint, necessitating extensive foundation rework.Bringing the dryer online is a milestone for the Seattle-based company after a fire destroyed the dryer in February 2012.
